Place plastic ends onto the bar and set into your decorative escutcheons. With your towel bar mocked up and setting on a flat surface, measure the exact distance between the center points of each of your escutcheons.

With your level, transfer this measurement to the place on the wall where you are mounting your towel bar. Make a single mark at each end of your level line.

Place the mounting bracket onto each of your two marks and trace around the inside of the two ovals on each bracket. Gently drill a hole into the center of each traced oval. If you hit a stud, you will not need the anchor.

Carefully tap the drywall anchors into the holes. Screw the brackets onto the wall, using the screws provided, into the four anchor points.

Make sure the set screw is backed out far enough to set each escutcheon over the mounting bracket. Place the bar and the escutcheons set together over the mounting brackets, top first.

Tighten the set screws with the tool provided. Check for level. If you need to adjust the level, remove the escutcheons and adjust one of the brackets up or down.
